Developing New CAE Tools for Batteries
- The Industrial Battery Consortium is functioning as a "battery", with the MIT ICL (Impact & Crashworthiness Lab) team and our close collaborators as two electrodes.
- The "ions" exchanged between ICL and collaborators through the academic atmosphere (electrolyte) is experimental data, ideas, and knowledge.
- With the reactions between the electrodes, the "electrons" that we are exporting is the CAE tools for battery modeling.
- This "Battery" is expected to provide energy to drive all the industrial sponsors towards safer lithium-ion battery cells, modules, and packs.
